High Load Capacity · Automatic Misalignment Compensation · Stable Operation
Self-aligning roller bearings are a type of double-row roller bearing with a spherical outer ring raceway, providing self-aligning capability to accommodate shaft deflection or varying shaft misalignment. Main models include the 22200, 22300, 23000, and 24000 series, meeting heavy-load and high-impact requirements. Some models feature oil holes (W33) or tapered bores (K).
Key structural features include:
Double-row roller design for increased load distribution
Spherical outer raceway enabling self-alignment capability
Robust inner ring with two raceways
High-strength cage design (steel or brass)
Optional sealed or open configurations
Cylindrical or tapered bore options for flexible mounting
Self-Aligning Roller Bearings are engineered for heavy-duty and demanding industrial environments.
1. High Radial Load Capacity
Designed to withstand very high radial loads due to line contact between rollers and raceways.
2. Moderate Axial Load Capacity
Capable of supporting axial loads in both directions in addition to radial loads.
3. Automatic Misalignment Compensation
The spherical raceway allows angular misalignment without significantly increasing stress, making it ideal for applications with shaft deflection or mounting deviation.
4. Excellent Shock and Vibration Resistance
Suitable for heavy-impact and vibration-prone environments such as mining, construction, and material handling systems.
5. Long Service Life
Optimized internal geometry and heat treatment processes enhance fatigue resistance and operational durability.
6. Reliable Performance in Harsh Conditions
Performs well in high-load, low-speed, and contaminated environments when properly sealed and lubricated.
Sealed vs. Unsealed
The table below shows the basic parameters of common series of self-aligning roller bearings. Specific dimensions are in accordance with ISO 15 standard.

| 231.. | Wide series | 100 – 300+ | 165 – 500+ | 52 – 150+ | Large diameter, heavy load |
| 240/241.. | Extra Heavy/Extra Wide | 100 – 300+ | 150 – 500+ | 60 – 200+ | Vibrating screen, high pressure |
CC: Optimized internal structure, reducing friction.
W33: The outer ring has oil grooves and three oil holes for easy lubrication.
K: Tapered bore, taper 1:12 (common); K30: Tapered bore, taper 1:30.
C3/C4: Internal radial clearance of the bearing (C3 is larger than the standard group, C4 is larger than C3).
Our double-row barrel roller design ensures superior radial load capacity while also supporting axial loads in both directions. This makes our bearings ideal for heavy-duty transmission systems and shock-load environments.
Thanks to the spherical outer raceway structure, our bearings can automatically adjust to shaft deflection and housing misalignment. This reduces internal stress, minimizes vibration, and prevents premature failure caused by installation deviation.

Hi, I am Maxwell, I am an engineer in the field of bearing applications. I majored in mechanical and electromechanical engineering during college. After graduation, I worked for the top three "SKF" bearing companies in the world for ten years , during which I went to dozens of customers in different industries to help them solve problems in bearing applications; later I joined VKUKEN Bearing Manufacturing, and I will share bearing technical knowledge on this website from time to time. If you are a customer Please contact me to help you solve your problem; if you are also a technical expert in bearings, I am very willing to exchange technical knowledge about bearings with you.
